After visiting with two of the great-grandsons of Charles E. Barber (and great-great-grandsons of William Barber), a number of new images of Charles Barber have come to light. With the generosity of the family, the Barber Coin Collectors' Society is pleased to publish these new photographs and a painting.

There are also new images for Chief Engraver William Barber (1807-1879), Charles' father. This includes the first and currently only-known photo that was discovered in February of 2019. Both this new photograph and the painting of William from the 1840s are shared below, along with images of the William Barber memorial medal (by Charles, and before 2018, the only known image of him).

Feel free to use them in any publication, website, catalog, etc.
When appropriate, please credit the Barber Coin Collectors' Society as the source.

The images are available in multiple sizes and formats.

• PNG format provides maximum-possible quality.
   They are excellent when inserting into other documents, such as Word and PowerPoint.
   The background of the oval and round images (Charles painting, William medal) is transparent (for overlaying).
   They are most often used for professional-quality results, and accordingly the file sizes can be very large.
  
  
• JPEG format provides good quality and compression limits files sizes to a much more modest level.
   This format is excellent for websites and most documents.

There are multiple sizes available for each of the images: small, large, and high-resolutiion (the largest available - PNG format only). Enjoy!
